It's been a while since I last read C# Concisely (5 years, in fact), so I'm not sure how the new textbook compares with it. From what I remember, I wasn't a huge fan of C# Concisely; it presented too much content too quickly. I think that's also the reason why it was changed - Starting Out With C# seems to suppress all unnecessary details until the points that it become relevant, and the hope is that students new to programming will have an easier time working their way through it. Knowing too much is sometimes an obstacle, and naivete can be a good way of breaking down the apparent complexity of programming in C#, helping students to actually try the exercises rather than being afraid of them. Only time will tell whether the new textbook makes that the case!

Do you like the textbook used in the classroom? I heard it is "starting out with C#" not "C# concisely". I do not know why the textbook is changed.
